Had many parts installed on my R53 here, and I was always satisfied. But when it came to installing my BVH, cam and injectors I was told that PAW could tune it better than another expert I was considering, so I went with PAW for the tune, too. I paid $300 more for the PAW tune and left with CEL codes car running too rich. I returned with the car and was told that it's fine that the car runs a little rich, although Luis did admit that the injectors caused him all kinds of problems/misfires to get tuned. I had no reason to not believe him as I had never had a problem there. After a bit I decided to get a second opinion from the original expert and was advised that this tune was way off with ignition timing/running very rich and he was surprised the car even ran, let alone blowing the engine. The car was retuned, and viola, no codes and much smoother acceleration. I also had much better throttle response, idle, and a higher redline (all things that the PAW tune didn't touch). Also proof on the dyno that the car was pulling what it was supposed to (something that the PAW tune didn't provide). I learned the hard way, but feel lucky I still have an engine after all the money I put into it. I wish Luis would've been honest with me that there were problems and we could've continued to do business together. At this point, I won't be back and I feel like I'm owed $650 for a poor tune that could've cost me my engine.

Spoke with Luis over the phone about problems with Cooper S and was very friendly and frank about possible problems. After checking several mini forums and mini mania I was more than confident about bringing in my Cooper. Especially after several disastrous experiences from another repair shops and exorbitant expenses.

Upon arriving to the shop he reviewed the car from top to bottom and found many additional issues and fix to my most troubling issue with the cooling system. Luis listed out the the issues and plan of attack in resolving them in urgency. I left with the cooling system resolved and feeling great in finally finding a shop worth going to. If you are in South Florida and need servicing for your Mini or BMW Luis is your guy.

Besides the fact that Lewis, proprietor of PAW is one hell of a nice guy, he's exceptionally knowledgeable of Mini Coopers and other high-end brands. I've had many discussions with him about issues and how to solve problems that you might encounter.

He's the kind of person that encourages you to keep on top of preventative maintenance, even if he's not the one doing the work. I've had my Mini in his shop a few times and it always gets Lewis's personal attention. Not the mention there's never a dull moment when chatting with Lewis.

One of the things I like about Lewis is that he always goes the extra mile for his customers, he looks for ways to improve performance and as a result has designed quiet a few performance pieces for customers that's interested in taking their Mini to that next level.

Overall I give Lewis an A+ for honesty, service, respect, and cleanliness.

Simply the best MINI and BMW mechanic in South Florida. I have a first year, first generation MINI Cooper S and always took it to Precision for service (for about 5-6 years). Luis is a stand up, honest mechanic that you could recommend to anyone. Honesty, expertise, personalized service and fair pricing. Don't let the dealership fool you, with Precision, you know they will do the job right.

Not only did P.A.W. have the best price in town, their over the phone estimate was spot on. No surprise fees, costs, extra labor, etc. They also didn't come back halfway through the day with a laundry list of "extra work" needed to be done, which so often happens when cars are getting serviced.

The customer service was fabulous, it’s a small shop but Luis the owner is really good people, honorable person to say the least. It's not your stereotypical mechanic. They are great, knowledgeable and don't make you feel like you're about to be taken advantage of.

Who knows I may take my R56 back for their in house tuning which I heard brings out an extra punch with their newly designed P.A.W. Inter-cooler and Spark-plugs.

Precision Auto Werks has a new devoted customer! They were recommended to me and I intend to do the same with anyone I know looking to find a good Mini Cooper repair shop.

Been taking my car to PAW for about two years now. They do great work and the shop owner, Luis,is very conscientious of getting the car fixed correctly the first time...no shortcuts, no band-aids, etcetera. Highly recommend them to others.
