  • Took our 2009 Mini S to Madness Motorworks. George did a great job with the repairs and kept us informed every step of the way. There were no surprises. We feel very fortunate to have found a shop we can trust that is honest and will stand behind their work. We will be back when the time comes. Thanks George!

About a year ago I bought a 2011 Mini cooper Countryman S All4 I knew it had high miles but i planned on refreshing it. I had little experience with mini's and ran into an issues where the engine had issues with cutout under partial load. After calling around to have the car looked at i took it to a mini dealer and another shop that also worked on minis Both shops quoted me almost $2500 for a timing chain replacement after They looked over the car and charged me for the Diagnoses. I ended up moving to Oregon before the work could be done and I'm thankful i did. I called around again and was told to contact Madness Motorworks I couldn't be happier They were professional and very knowledgeable when it came to these cars. They figured out that it wasn't a timing chain issue and was in fact an electrical issue that was easily solved. I was resigned to spend the 2 grand so finding out it wasn't had them take care of the issues and other maintenance i would have put off at the time. If you have a modern Mini take it to them if you don't you will be sorry. I had a licensed Mini Dealer quoting me fore work that had nothing to do with my issue. I will be returning for more maintenance and other work down the road. You get your moneys worth from this shop. At least when it comes to mini coopers they know what they are talking about. Thanks again guys you gave me back my car. I cant wait to get her refreshed and ready for fun.

Not a customer, and never will be. I stopped by yesterday and the guy that I spoke to was really rude. Even raised his voice at me. I think he was trying to be helpful and thought I wasn't understanding him but it was the other way around. I'm also entitled to my opinion, sir. Customer service was wack, one star!

Over the years, I’ve gotten to know George on the phone and purchasing aftermarket parts for my 2006 Mini Cooper. Just recently, the opportunity for us to move from Montana back to Washington state made it possible to have the car shipped to Portland and George do his magic for three months. I can safely say is probably one of the best R53 Minis in the country. Unbelievable workmanship. Thank you, George.

In the beginning my experience with George was an uncomfortable situation. Wasn’t certain whether he was listening to what my concerns were and just giving me enough time to satisfy and prove my obvious lack of knowledge regarding my car. I was satisfied initially with the outcome but over a short period of time my Coop went into some serious spasmodic episodes. I decided in lieu of returning to the shop I’d better take the care to the dealer whom I had trusted with other matters regarding my car. The cost of the repairs exceeded my dizzying expectations. Began in the tune of over 2k, and after trimming it down and the shop wanting to make it right my final bill was between 6 and 900.00. George has attempted to contact me but by that time I had lost my confidence in his ability to recognize the issues.

One of the most important things you do as a Mini or BMW owner is have someone who you can trust and knows how to work on them. George at Madness Motorworks has been working with BMW and Mini since the early 2000's. He has a great way of explaining what is needed and why. He also gives options to help save money. Many times I have been in the office overhearing how George is having to fix a bad repair that was done by another shop. I feel confident knowing that they take great care with my Mini.
